KFUK-KFUM GLOBAL (YGLOBAL SOUTH SUDAN) is an international organisation that strives to empower young people around the world to take an active role in creating a just and sustainable world. The organisation is a part of the World Alliance of YMCAs and the World YWCA and has been working in communities across the globe since 1855.

YGlobal South Sudan registered and opened a country office in South Sudan in 2021 with Relief and Rehabilitation Commission N0.4,139 after having worked through several local partners for the last two decades in South Sudan.

Position Available: SRHR Advisor

Project: Strengthening the Partnership for Youth Access to Life Skills-Based SRHR

Sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) education is a cornerstone for youth empowerment and progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This project champions young people’s rights to life skills education and fosters advocacy for transformative change.

Location Options:

  • YMCA Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
  • YWCA Kenya, Nairobi, Kenya

Key Responsibilities:



  • Design and deliver engaging SRHR training, workshops, and activities for staff, volunteers, and youth groups to build awareness and fuel advocacy.
  • Lead the creation of resource materials such as manuals, campaign guides, and monitoring tools to amplify movement-building.
  • Organise impactful campaigns that raise visibility and inspire youth action on SRHR and SDGs.
  • Share best practices to strengthen the network’s knowledge base.
  • Mobilise and engage broader youth groups within the host organisations to empower their leadership on SRHR and SDGs.
  • Support the establishment and facilitation of youth-focused groups, such as policy experts, sports teams, and investment clubs.
  • Upon returning to South Sudan, share your insights with staff and volunteers for two months.
  • Assist partners with social media engagement linked to the project.
  • Carry out other relevant duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements:

  • Age between 25 – 35 years.
  • Minimum of a diploma in project management, social sciences, or related fields.
  • At least one year of experience volunteering or working with the organisation.
  • A recommendation letter from your current or past organisation.
  • Professional experience, preferably including volunteer work.
  • Strong knowledge of SRHR, gender equality, and the ability to integrate these topics with SDGs using diverse methods.
  • Open-mindedness and cultural adaptability, working well across differences of race, gender, ethnicity, religion, or nationality.
  • Flexibility, readiness to take on varied tasks, and willingness to travel.
  • Independent, proactive, excellent communicator, and eager to learn.
  • Team player with fluent English (spoken and written).
  • Long-term residency in South Sudan.
  • Valid passport required.

Additional Information:

  • Contract duration: 12 months (August 2025 start).
  • Placement: 10 months abroad (Ethiopia or Kenya), 2 months back in South Sudan for knowledge sharing.
  • Participation in a mandatory Norec preparatory course.
  • Salary and benefits aligned with Norec’s regulations, including housing, travel, and insurance.
